Kris on the air!

http://kris.eat-peet.net/SoU/SoUC1.mp3

Sound of Unconsciousness is my radio show for Radio@UPEI or R@UPEI for short. So far i'm the only on-air host/reporter/tech guy/actual person at the station. That's cool though. Getting some sound equipment today so I won't be all breathy and far away anymore. Cheers!

OH MY GOD HOLY CRAP!

Sorry for the cruise control title going on there but I just had the most harrowing night ever. A little background, PEI just introduced a new graduated driver program. At the moment I can only have 1 other person who isn't a family member in the car with you. Also you have to have this stupid G sticker in your windshield.

I had three people and no G.

I got in shit.

I was driving some of Becky's friends to a prom party and about half-way there they say that cops are checking the car for booze.

Oh by the way did I mention that Alysha(one of the friends(the other one was an asian named Roogn(pronounced Rune))) had a pint of vodka with her? It was in her purse.

Anyway a sane person would have said fuck it and gone home but no, I bowed to peer pressure and went on ahead anyway.

Well we got stopped.

He was a very mean cop (I think he was just trying to scare me) but I got off with a warning. Anyway the main point here is that this is the first time that I had to deal with the police when I was driving and it scared the living shit out of me. I drove like 4 kilometers per hour under the speed limit all the way home because the mean cop told me not to draw attention to myself.

Becky was holding my hand the whole time. We were both pretty shook up.

BUT THEN SUDDENLY FLASHING POLICE LIGHTS!

It was a checky-thingy to catch underage drinkin' and other bad things. The cop lady was very nice to me (because I was all G'd and legal I think) but it was still a bit too much after the first one. Oh, apparently my windshield is illegal.

Now I am gunna go hug and cuddle. I think I need it.

Writing this down in my journal as well.

Driving home from Becky's I usually makes me pretty existential. Just the kind of music I listen to sets it off I think. I was listening to Aplocalyptica (Farewell) and thinking when I noticed the car lights ahead of me. They kinda looked like eyes. Others might have said they looked angry but I think they are kinda nice lookin'.

I like it when lights are shining over a hill. There are two kinds of this effect. There is the kind were you are driving at night and another car is coming and the shining gets brighter and brighter until finally you see another car driven by another person and they just wizz...no, glide past you. I think I understand why they coined the phrase "Ships passing in the night".

The other kind is the kind where you can just make out a glow on the horizon that is a city. I like cities. It might have something to do with growing up in the country but there is something magical about cresting that last hill and seeing lights. Especially if they are the lights of your home.

Oh yeah, I read all of Moby Dick today. It is pretty good and also a classic.

Oh and I got a new BIKE!

YAY!

Voulez vous coucher avec moi ce soir

YOU BEEN HIT BY, YOU BEEN STRUCK BY.. A SMOOTH CRIMINAL

Does anyone remember that song? hehe I was home this weekend and found all my older CDs and I was listening to them, and I must admit.... I had a damn good time.

Oh, back in the days of Jr High School... life was a bitch back then, but somehow, at this point in time... I kind of miss it. I could have done so much more than sit on the floor of the gym hall everyday. I had quite a life... then into High School... still sitting on the floor but in the "c0rner" but that was much better.

At what point did life stop being a rollercoast of fun and start being all serious and stuff? Of course there's still a little bit of fun in there, but we have responsibilities now, and let me tell you... that sucks.

My 20th birthday is in like two weeks.... I'm going to be 2 decades old. Apparently, it all goes down hill after 20, so I'm going to make the best of this year xD I have a new boyfriend, a new apartment, a pet cat, and I'm pretty much jobless... it's better than last year at this time already.... :):) super happy face

Write back soon....

much loves

The best day at university

I had the greatest day of university yesterday. I was in bed being all annoyed and having to write papers all day. Anyway all bored and crap I almost died. Then I was done of it and got to go do what I wanted and stumbled upon Jeremy and people out with their guitars and stuff and so I grabbed my harmonica and went out and jammed with them. It was such a nice day, people walking by came and joined us and eventually we had this awesome hippy sing-a-long circle thing going on and some people pulled out a pipe and we all got high and it was just the best day ever. Everything was so perfect and warm and nice and the music was good. It was just so amazing that I can't get over it. I wish I had taken pictures.

I forgot how boring it was at my house

It is really boring. I mean seriously incredibly boring. Like makes me want to kill myself boring. I can't quite get the level of boredom that a feel out in simple print.

I took three showers yesterday.

There, that did nicely. I guess after having friends (or at least some other people) around me constantly for six months i got a bit spoiled. Well anyway I am dealing with it (at becky's now). I can't wait for everyone to get home for X-mas. "twill be greatness.

Oh BTW I am working on something right now(to alleviate the boredom)that will put NSR back on the internets. Tic-Tac-Toe look out!
